Robinson would be a power hitter and hit for average in the mid to late 1970s. Before that, he had some trouble getting started. The back of the card is a good example of how Topps would focus on a player's defense when he was not very productive with his bat.
Robinson's best years came when he joined the Pirates. He played in the 1979 World Series.
